    Nipple sensation, a topic we always discuss when we are consenting a patient for a breast augmentation, lift or reduction. Nine out of ten women look at me and say, "What nipple sensation?" If you are the tenth woman who says, "Oh my God. I can't live without my nipple sensation.", then you should never have elective breast surgery.

    Even though the risk of permanently losing nipple sensation after a breast augmentation is extremely rare and the risk after a breast reduction or lift is approximately less than 10%. In fact, a lot of times the sensation goes up.
