Trott, M.D., F.A.C.S., a professional medical corporation ("Dr. Trott," "we," "us," or "our"), handles information collected through the website at drtrott.com (the "Site"). It does not apply to Protected Health Information ("PHI") created or received in the course of treatment, which is governed separately by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices provided at the office.

We also automatically collect limited technical information when you visit the Site, such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring URL, and timestamps. This is collected through standard server logs and analytics cookies.

We use the information you provide to:
- Respond to consultation requests and schedule appointments.

Protected Health Information (HIPAA)
Information you submit through a website form is not a secure channel and should not include sensitive medical history. Please do not transmit Protected Health Information through the Site. Once you become a patient, any PHI created or maintained in the course of your care is protected under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act ("HIPAA") and our office's separate Notice of Privacy Practices.
Cookies and analytics
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences and to measure how visitors interact with pages (for example, Google Analytics or similar). You may disable cookies in your browser; some features may not function as intended. We honor Global Privacy Control ("GPC") signals where applicable.
Third-party services
We use vetted third-party service providers to operate the Site (hosting, analytics, email delivery, scheduling, and similar). These providers process information only as necessary to perform their services and are contractually required to protect it. The Site may also link to third-party platforms (e.g., Instagram). This policy does not cover their practices.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information collected through the Site. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data retention
We retain information submitted through the Site only as long as needed to respond to your request, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to (1) know what personal information we collect and how we use it, (2) request a copy of your personal information, (3) request deletion or correction of your personal information, and (4) opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Children's privacy
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
