Sculptra® with Dr. Suzanne Trott, Beverly Hills

    Sculptra®

Sculptra is an FDA-approved injectable biostimulator made from poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). Unlike traditional hyaluronic acid fillers that add immediate volume, Sculptra works beneath the surface to gradually rebuild your skin's structural support by stimulating fresh collagen production.

    Dr. Trott's point of view

Sculptra is the only injectable where the result is collagen you grew yourself. Three sessions, three months, and skin that looks built rather than filled.

    About Dr. Trott

    01

    Best Candidates

The best candidates for Sculptra are men and women experiencing mild to moderate facial volume loss, hollowing in the temples or cheeks, or deepening folds around the mouth. It is ideal for patients who prefer gradual, natural-looking improvement over immediate dramatic change. Sculptra is not recommended for patients with active skin infections, severe allergies, or a history of keloid formation in the treatment area. During your consultation, Dr. Trott will assess your facial structure and skin quality to determine if Sculptra aligns with your goals.

    02

    What to Expect

Your Sculptra treatment begins with a thorough consultation to map the areas of volume loss and develop a customized injection plan. The product is mixed with sterile water and typically injected deep along the bone or in the superficial fat compartments using a fine needle or cannula. Dr. Trott places Sculptra at precise depths, generally 4-6 mm depending on the area, to ensure even collagen stimulation and smooth results. Most patients feel mild pressure or brief pinching during the injections. A topical numbing agent and ice can be used to improve comfort. The appointment usually takes 30-45 minutes.

    03

    Other Considerations

After Sculptra, you may experience mild swelling, redness, or small bumps at the injection sites, which typically resolve within a few days. Dr. Trott recommends massaging the treated areas for five minutes, five times a day, for five days to help distribute the product evenly and reduce the risk of nodule formation. Most patients need a series of two to three sessions spaced about four to six weeks apart for optimal results. Because collagen production takes time, the final outcome is usually visible around three months after the last session.

    Long-Lasting, Natural Rejuvenation

Sculptra offers a unique approach to facial rejuvenation by restoring what time has gradually taken away. With proper treatment planning and technique, results can last two years or longer, making it a worthwhile investment for patients seeking durable, natural improvement. Contact Suzanne A.
