Your Sculptra treatment begins with a thorough consultation to map the areas of volume loss and develop a customized injection plan. The product is mixed with sterile water and typically injected deep along the bone or in the superficial fat compartments using a fine needle or cannula. Dr. Trott places Sculptra at precise depths, generally 4-6 mm depending on the area, to ensure even collagen stimulation and smooth results. Most patients feel mild pressure or brief pinching during the injections. A topical numbing agent and ice can be used to improve comfort. The appointment usually takes 30-45 minutes.

After Sculptra, you may experience mild swelling, redness, or small bumps at the injection sites, which typically resolve within a few days. Dr. Trott recommends massaging the treated areas for five minutes, five times a day, for five days to help distribute the product evenly and reduce the risk of nodule formation. Most patients need a series of two to three sessions spaced about four to six weeks apart for optimal results.
