Dr. Trott's point of view
“Glutathione is the antioxidant your liver spends all day making and never has enough of. I use it to support recovery and clarity, patients notice it most in their skin.”
Suzanne A. Trott, M.D., F.A.C.S.

What I Tell Patients To Expect
I am honest about what glutathione is and is not. It is not skin bleaching, and I will not sell it to you that way. What I consistently see is a clearer, more even, less sallow complexion after a series, not after one visit. My protocol is usually 600–1200 mg per session, weekly for six to eight weeks, then monthly. I push it slowly over 10–15 minutes because rushing it is what causes the sulfur taste and flushing patients complain about elsewhere. I screen for asthma first, because high-dose glutathione has rarely triggered bronchoconstriction, and that is not a risk I take casually with anyone.

How It Fits The Rest Of Your Plan
I think of glutathione as a supporting player, never the whole story. If you are coming to me for a facelift, a breast case, or a body procedure, I will often time infusions before and after surgery to support recovery. If you are here purely for skin quality, I would rather pair it with the right in-office treatment, CoolPeel, microneedling with PRF, or a disciplined topical regimen, than have you believe an IV alone will change your face. I would rather under-promise and let the mirror do the talking.
