The eyes and the neck age first
Upper eyelid surgery and neck contouring return the most recognizable version of you for the least recovery. An upper blepharoplasty takes under an hour under local anesthesia and reads as looking awake rather than looking operated on. Neck liposuction, sometimes with a submental tuck, resets the jawline that photographs badly from below.
Volume, skin and support are three separate problems
Filler and fat grafting replace volume. Lasers and resurfacing address skin quality. A lift repositions tissue that has descended. Treating the wrong one is how faces end up heavy, filling a face that needed lifting is the single most common mistake Dr. Trott corrects.
What can be done awake
Upper eyelids, buccal fat removal, neck liposuction, lip lift, mole and cyst removal, and nanofat grafting are all routinely performed in the office under local anesthesia. No general anesthetic, no operating room, and most patients drive themselves home.
Threads and energy devices have a real, limited role
Thread lifting genuinely repositions tissue and stimulates collagen for 12 to 18 months in the right candidate, early jowling, good skin quality, no true excess. RF microneedling and CO2 resurfacing improve texture, tone and laxity at the skin level. Neither substitutes for a facelift when skin folds rather than settles.
