Procedure Details

This sixty-four year-old woman had gastric sleeve surgery and lost over a hundred pounds. After about a year of her weight being stabilized, she was interested in an abdominoplasty. After much discussion, we agreed that her main issue was skin, and that the recovery of a rectus plication was unnecessary and she underwent a skin-only abdominoplasty. On the right she is three months postoperative. If the skin is the major problem, a skin-only abdominoplasty can be a good option, with a much easier recovery. She was thrilled with her result and went on to have more cosmetic procedures.
