"Dr. Trott has changed my life! I found her by getting recommendations from about 4 girlfriends who had the same procedure I was going in for. All were happy with their results, so I knew she was definitely someone I wanted to meet with. As soon as I met her for my initial consultation, I knew she was the surgeon for me. She is beyond friendly and warm and I knew I would be in good hands. She really took her time with me, showing me additional photos, thoroughly explaining the procedure to me. Aside from me really liking her work, I was happy with the fact that she only performs one surgery a day so she can take her time. I had met with another surgeon who would have slotted me as his 4th surgery for the day. Her surgical team is amazing, I didn't have one complication. She came to visit me at the aftercare facility and makes herself available to her patients by cellphone. Addy, her office manager, is so friendly and helpful. I am still healing but am already so happy with the results! Everyone I know tells me how amazing I look and that the work looks so natural. I literally cannot say enough good things about Dr. Trott. She is THE BEST!!!"- S.S. / Yelp / Jan 05, 2018
"Dr. Trott is incredible! She came highly recommended from my OBGYN. If you have any questions about a procedure, book a consultation, she and her team will go over EVERYTHING and answer every single question you have (and I had a lot). I felt very confident about my surgery, what to expect before and after, and what the recovery would be like. I am so happy with my results and have never..."- L. / RealSelf / Feb 12, 2019
"I recently had a "mommy makeover" with Dr. Trott. I've always worked out hard and eaten healthy food, but as a mom of two boys, working full time, I was not happy with how my body looked. Dr. Trott performed a breast reduction with a lift as well as some liposuction around my abdominal area and back. Dr. Trott had been recommended to me by a friend who also happens to be a surgical nurse, and I trusted her recommendation and I'm so glad I did. This procedure literally changed my whole attitude and increased my confidence tremendously. I used to hide my breasts with baggy shirts and minimizer bras. I had neck and shoulder pain constantly. Those issues have completely disappeared. My husband always said he loved me and looked great all the time, but now, he says I look like I did before I had our children and he's thrilled. The only thing I'm disappointed with is that it took me so long to make this decision."- S. / Healthgrades / Jul 19, 2020
"I cannot thank you and your staff enough for everything, you're truly "the best of the best". Every aspect, from the initial consultation to seeing the final results has far exceeded my expectations. You've changed my life in so many ways! I was so impressed with your kind and approachable nature. You answered every question and made me feel so comfortable throughout the process. I had complete confidence in my decision from my first conversation with you. And now that I can see the results of your hard work and talent I am completely in awe and couldn't have dreamed of it being any better. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!"- K.J. / Yelp / Apr 26, 2020

The best candidates for male breast reduction surgery have been diagnosed with gynecomastia and have tried other treatments such as diet, exercise, or medication. The most favorable candidates are those who are in good health, but need assistance getting rid of excess fat and tissue in the breasts. Patients with other medical conditions should discuss their medical history thoroughly with a surgeon prior to surgery.
What to Expect
A male breast reduction surgery is an effective method of treatment for gynecomastia. Usually performed as an outpatient procedure with local anesthesia, the surgeon will use a combination of liposuction and tissue excision to decrease the size of the breasts and remove any unnecessary fat and tissue. Using liposuction, fat is removed through small incisions made on each side of the chest, along the edge of the areola, or within the armpit, depending on the best and safest technique to meet your cosmetic needs.
Gynecomastia can affect one or both of the breasts, in different ways. In most cases, it is not a serious condition, but it can cause some physical ailments such as back pain and emotional stress from embarrassment. Male breast reduction surgery not only removes excess breast tissue, but also sculpts the chest for a more masculine look. In more severe cases of gynecomastia, patients may require a tissue excision. During a tissue excision, the surgeon is able to remove more tissue and skin than with liposuction alone.
Following male breast reduction surgery, no matter the technique used, you will experience bruising and swelling on and around the chest area for the first couple of weeks. Although you may feel sore after surgery, this will subside after a few days. Some men may experience a loss of sensation in the chest area, but this is only temporary. Each patient will experience a different healing process and should follow the surgeon’s care instructions for optimal results.
