Augmentation, lift, or both
Volume and position are separate problems. An implant fills the breast but does not raise the nipple; a lift raises the nipple but adds nothing above it. If your nipple sits at or below the fold, an implant alone will look bottom-heavy, that is when a lift is added. Dr. Trott would rather explain that at consultation than revise it later.
A female surgeon's frame of reference
Dr. Trott is a woman operating on women. She sizes for how a breast reads in a slip dress, a workout top and a bra you already own, not for a number that sounds impressive on paper. The most common request in her Beverly Hills office is for a result nobody can name.
Explant, en bloc, and going implant-free
A substantial share of the practice is implant removal, with total capsulectomy or en bloc when indicated, often combined with a lift, and increasingly with fat transfer to keep some upper-pole volume without a device. Patients who want out are not talked back in.
Reduction is a comfort operation as much as a cosmetic one
Breast reduction reliably relieves neck, shoulder and back pain, bra-strap grooving and rashes while producing one of the highest satisfaction rates in plastic surgery. It is also a lift by definition, the nipple is repositioned as part of the operation.
