Abdominoplasty & lipo flanks
How to find your waist and keep your belly button...
This woman underwent a full abdominoplasty with flotation of the umbilicus and liposuction of the flanks. Flotation of the umbilicus (keeping your original belly button) is possible when you have a loose, deep abdominal wall layer (rectus diastasis or stretching of the rectus fascia) but fairly tight skin. In this patient's case, she had undergone liposuction of the abdominal wall many years ago. Unless skin is very saggy to begin with, liposuction alone without any extra lasers actually tightens skin. Her abdominoplasty scar is hidden in her underwear line.
